Tuesday, February 24, we will begin a new study on the Book of Esther. Have you ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering? This study will help us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives. Join us at Emily Hiatte’s home from 7:30-9:30 pm.  (Goodies provided - homework optional!)

As many of you are now aware we have a new child in our home. His name is Chase and he is 10 years old.  We have found it so interesting to bring a stranger into our home and in such a short time begin to feel as if he is one of your own. How quickly you want to care for, provide for and protect. It is very hard to go thru this process and not think of our Heavenly Father. I keep being reminded how as a believer I was adopted into His family not as an outsider but one with all the same rights as a son. I am a son of the most high God. As Amy & I continue to fall in love with our new son and really more then anything we want relationship with him I keep being reminded of how my Heavenly Father wants relationship with me. Its not enough to just call me son but He wants to know me, He wants me to know Him.

I think of how at this time Chase calls me Steve more then he calls me Dad but every once in a while he says “hey Dad” and it melts my hard heart. If you are reading this think of  if we can get this excited imagine how Jesus would feel when we call out to Him? I bet He gets pretty excited!

Let me encourage you to call out to Jesus this week, I think He wants to hear from us!

We have had a great start this season at thelateshow. Some of you we see on occasion and others we see nearly every week. This coming Sunday is our final lateshow of the year. We are going to end the year with a night of worship and communion. I hope to see you there!
